Does your muscle coordination lead to the highest speed?
We can identify the sequence of muscles that engage during a touch with a 10 millisecond accuracy.
Are your joints well stabilized during a touch?
Electrome lab can provide you this crucial information for strengthening your touch and avoid getting injured.
Does tonic hypertension limit your movements?
We pinpoint areas of excessive muscle tension that limit movement and increase effort. You get a tailored plan to improve function, including pre-attack rituals and speed-strength exercises.
Are your muscles in their best speed-strenght condition?
The testing will assess whether your muscles achieve their maximum force at contact and whether you need additional physical training.
Are there hidden opportunities to increase your hit speed and accuracy?
Uncover the muscles that can be more involved during your attack and muscle tightness that slows you down.

Electome Lab at the 16th International Fencing Camp Bocholt, Germany, in 2025
High-Performance Physiology and Biomechanics Module for Fencing Camps
program overview
A structured integration of muscle physiology, biomechanics, and real-time biofeedback into daily camp training to enhance athletic development and long-term performance capacity.

Lectures on the biomechanics and physiology of fencing/sports (1–1.5 hours each), including demonstrations of technology and biomechanical data from top fencers from different countries. Applicable for épée & foil.

Group sessions on managing nervous system activation levels through breathing with heart rate monitoring (30 minutes). Applicable for all weapons.

Biofeedback station (30 minutes per participant). Athletes can attend multiple times during the camp. The station is integrated into the main training program, and athletes come according to a scheduled rotation. Applicable for all weapons.

3 days – 2,369 (excluding travel and accommodation costs)

workshops
The effectiveness of an individualized approach based on high technology in sports training is undeniable — but it’s still not common in fencing, where victory and defeat can be separated by only 40 ms!
We offer 1.5-hour workshops in Sports Physiology and Biomechanics applicable for épée & foil.
Price per workshop: 300 USD

Electrome Lab conducts A “Biomechanics of Fencing” workshop at Sword Masters Club & Fencing Academy (Orlando, FL) in 2025

Workshop 1
Biomechanics of Fencing – Foundations for Speed and Accuracy
We show real muscle data from world-class fencers to demonstrate efficient vs. inefficient movements.
Athletes will clearly see what slows them down and how small adjustments can immediately improve performance.

What you will learn:
How to use your body to generate maximum speed and precision during a touch
Why technique breaks down when you are fatigued — and how to prevent it
How to control shoulder and back muscles to increase reach without tension

Workshop 2
Advanced Biomechanics – Flicks and Parry–Riposte Efficiency
Using real-time biomechanical recordings, we show correct vs. incorrect muscle activation patterns, and demonstrate how minor adjustments dramatically improve flick consistency and riposte efficiency.
What you will learn:
Flick mechanics: how elite fencers generate whip-like acceleration in the weapon arm using timing and sequential muscle activation, and why flicks often fail due to excessive shoulder tension or incorrect muscle recruitment.
Parry–riposte power loss: why the riposte is frequently slower or less powerful than a single attack — focusing on neuromuscular inhibition immediately after the parry and delayed activation of the weapon-arm muscles.
How to maintain readiness: specific strategies to keep the weapon arm in an optimal activation state so the riposte is executed with the same explosiveness and penetration as a direct touch.

Workshop 3
Physiology for High Performance – Heart, Brain, and Flow State
Participants will discover how elite athletes use biofeedback techniques to manage stress, improve reaction time, and maintain optimal performance under pressure.
What you will learn:
How to train your heart for maximum endurance without overtraining.
How to enter the “flow state” — where reactions are automatic and faster than conscious thinking.
How to control your nervous system to stay focused and calm during decisive moments.

biofeedback station
Electome Lab's biofeedback station at the 16th International Fencing Camp Bocholt, Germany, in 2025
We offer real-time biofeedback integration into training to enhance athletic development and long-term performance capacity.

Biofeedback station (30 minutes per participant). Athletes can attend multiple times during a camp. The station is integrated into the main training program, and athletes come according to a scheduled rotation. Applicable for all weapons.

Just 1 biofeedback session is enough to achieve initial improvement in muscle control. 2 to 3 sessions are enough to form a habit.
PRICE - 200 USD for 2 sessions
"I believe this system would benefit fencers at all levels. It gives hard data analysis to the fencer and his/her coach. As you become more familiar with the data, you will learn some important facts about your extension, lunge, and footwork to improve your fencing. I wish I had this system when I began my fencing career! It would have helped me when I went from competitive fencing to coaching!"
